Wool is a natural fibre and has fantastic insulation and breathability properties. Our kersey rugs are soft, comfortable and lightweight. This material is far superior to polo fleece with no static electricity and so much warmer.
Wash by hand in cold water using a wool wash detergent. Shrinkage may occur if dried in a hot dryer. They do take a while to dry in winter and many of our show clients have two per horse so they are not caught out with a damp rug. Despite this, they provide wonderful warmth for less bulk (useful for storage) and look very smart as well
Our great fitting hoods feature a buckle under the chin and two velcro neck fasteners. The hood can be stitched to your rug or will have a velcro fitting. Please advise which you prefer in the comment area when checking out. Please note: we will make this choice for you if your preference is not provided.
