Kerry Douglas has been in the equestrian industry for over 30 years and making horse rugs for over 25. Kez Rugs grew from a one-woman workshop on the Gold Coast to the Beaudesert factory, where every rug is still handmade and checked by people who know how a horse rolls, scratches and eats.

No shoulder darts that rub. A double-stitched, bound back seam that holds its shape. Fittings built to outlast the rug. And if your horse is an odd size, Kerry makes one that fits.

Why buy Australian made?

Made to fit. Built to last.

Every rug is handmade to order in our Beaudesert factory, so it fits the horse it was made for. No shoulder darts, a double-stitched bound back seam, and leg straps that clip under the rug. Our clients come back because they get exactly that: horse rugs which fit and last.

We don't believe in unnecessary bells and whistles, they're usually a sales ploy. Our aim is a well fitting, comfortable rug for your horse and long lasting wearability.

Superior fit

No darts on the shoulder, which cause pressure points and rubbing. A double stitched and bound seam along the back holds the rug's shape on the horse.

Built for Horse Houdinis

We know horses roll, scratch, frolic and put their heads down to eat. We don't design from a static model. If it slips or rubs, it gets destroyed, so ours doesn't.

Fittings that outlast the rug

High quality fittings designed to last the life of the rug or longer. Removable, reversible leg straps clip under the rug, so horses don't catch clips on fences.

Measure from the centre of the chest, around the shoulder and along the belly to the rump. Our guide converts centimetres to rug sizes from 3'3 to 7'0.
